Starting in 1957 with 125 alumni, we now serve an area population of over 600 undergraduate and graduate alumni, parents and friends. The CCSM dedicated volunteers strive to offer the best of a wide variety of social, educational, volunteer, charitable and cultural events, all with the goal of keeping our members connected to Cornell and one another.
Our monthly luncheon program features speakers from Cornell as well as a number of representatives from local cultural, health and educational institutions. Our special event program provides further opportunities to sample the rich cultural environment of our area. We also serve our community through hands-on service projects under the aegis of Cornell Cares, a worldwide Cornell student-alumni collaboration. Our “Young Alumni” group interacts frequently with other Ivy League alumni groups as well as with those from a number of other colleges and universities.
Students are the lifeblood of the University. The Club raises money for our Scholarship Fund to provide assistance to a number of Cornell students from our area. Our members attend local college admission fairs. We promote Cornell to local applicants (85 this year) through the Cornell Alumni Admissions Ambassador Network (CAAAN).
We are fortunate to have such a dynamic alumni club in our area, but even more fortunate to be alumni of such a dynamic institution. We welcome all alumni, parents and friends to participate with us in connecting with our community and reconnecting with Cornell.
