at Sarasota Yacht Club with speaker Robert Plunket aka “Mr. Chatterbox!" His topic:
How to Write a Novel Even if You're a Complete Idiot
Robert Plunket is the local author of My Search for Warren Harding.
He was born in Greenville, Texas, but raised in Havana and Mexico City. After college he moved to New York and embarked on a successful career as a waiter and office temp, then moved to Sarasota, Florida, where he became Mr. Chatterbox, the gossip columnist for Sarasota Magazine. Plunket is also the author of the novel Love Junkie. He has written for many publications, including Healthy Aging, This Week in Ft. Myers Beach, and Sandbars and Sonnets: The Southwest Florida Poetry Review. He is currently retired and lives in Englewood.
There will be a 50/50 Raffle to benefit the Cornell Club of Sarasota Manatee Scholarship Fund, so please bring some cash to participate!
Our Big Red Buffet will include:
Seasonal fruit & berries, scrambled eggs, crisp bacon, link sausage, hash browns, chilled asparagus, cheese tortellini w/ vodka sauce, bagels, muffins, danish, croissants, local honey, fruit jams, cream cheese, butter as well as fresh Florida orange juice, brewed coffee, decaf coffee, & teas.
Member price $38, Non-Members $43
NOT a cash bar, you must get drink tickets to give to the bartender. Buy a separate drink ticket(s) for soft drinks for $4 or wine/mimosa/Bloody Mary for $13. This amount includes gratuity. Limited number of tickets at the brunch, please pre-pay here or bring cash, correct change appreciated.
