Luncheon with speaker Marty Hylton, President of Architecture Sarasota

Transforming Places and Inspiring Lives

Since the mid-20th century, Sarasota has been globally recognized as an epicenter of modern architecture.

Come hear Marty Hylton, Architecture Sarasota President speak about the Sarasota School of Architecture's origins with architects Paul Rudolph, Victor Lundy, and others. There is a revival underway of the Sarasota School and Architecture Sarasota is working to help preserve this legacy, which continues to unfold.

Marty will discuss 'Moderns That Matter' - a current campaign that asks community members to nominate their favorite landmarks - from the iconic structures to everyday places - that give Sarasota its architectural character and distinct sense of place. The Sarasota 100 list of the community's most important places will be announced on March 20, 2024. Come get a sneak peak!
