Celebrate Our Students and Parents with speaker Elaine Westbrooks, Cornell Librarian.

On This Rock: Why Democracies Need Libraries and Archives

Elaine Westbrooks is the Carl A Kroch University Librarian and Vice Provost at Cornell University. She is responsible for the leadership and general administration of the University Library and Cornell Free Press which includes over 15 libraries and 400 librarians, archivists and staff. Elaine will present "On This Rock: Why Democracies Need Libraries and Archives."

Local students currently enrolled and just admitted via Early Decision will be invited to join us, along with their parents/guardians, and will attend gratis. We will hear from the Chairs of The Scholarship and Admissions/CAAAN Committees. Join us to celebrate our Sarasota-Manatee Cornell students and their families.

Member price $38, Non-Members $43

Your luncheon includes gratuities, a choice of hot, cold or vegan entree, coffee and dessert, or you may request a fruit cup as an alternative at the event from your server. A cash bar is available for the enjoyment of our members and guests.

Menu Choices:

Hot: Moroccan Barbecue Glazed Pork Tenderloin Medallions with Apple-Raisin Chutney served with Mashed Potatoes, Roasted Snow Peas and Baby Carrots

Cold/Salad: Classic "Caesar Style" Salad with Mahi Mahi, Cashews & Pea Shoots Tossed with Romaine Lettuce & Shaved Parmesan

Vegan: Portobello Mushrooms stuffed with Quinoa, Eggplant Caponata & Chickpeas

Dessert: Chocolate-Pecan Toffee Tart: Pecan Cookie Crust, Swirls of Rich Chocolate Mousse & Creamy Toffee Drizzle.

• Cancellation with instant refund up to 5 days prior to the event if you cancel it yourself after log in. If you ask ccsm.resv@gmail.com to cancel, it will be a credit towards next event/membership.
