Newtown Community and the Pandemic.

Challenges and opportunities faced during the hardships of Covid-19

Panelists of local Newtown leaders
and Mr. Walter Gilbert III, Newtown Alive

The African American community in the Newtown area of Sarasota has been severely impacted by the pandemic.  Within the community there are folks banding together to do what they can to meet head on the events of the past year and provide support to the community.  Listen to a panel of local stewards discuss the “real” issues of the health and economic hardships of the past year and how the Newtown community responded to help.  Walter Gilbert III, a long time resident of Newtown, will lead the panel.  Questions and Answers will be allowed via Zoom.
